The Baroque Era is an era characterized by the elaborate and ornate style of primarily architecture and music, but that extended to the other disciplines as well. In the general chronology the period begins around 1525 and ends approximately 1700. This period was both a reaction to the Renaissance and a fulfillment of its humanistic ideals.
