Meter is the aspect of rhythm that determines how the ‘beats’ in each measure will be grouped. To keep the discussion simple for this introduction three the concept will limited to three meters.
Music in two has two beats per measure.
Music in three has three beats per measure.
Music in four has four beats per measure.
